These are such an amazing treat and best of all unbelievably quick and easy to make!
-2 cups of coconut flakes/shredded coconut
-1 cup of peanut butter of your choice (all natural/smooth recommended)
-1/2 cup of melted coconut oil
-2 to 4 tbs of maple syrup
-pinch or 2 of Himalayan pink salt
So you want to start this recipe by shredding the already shredded coconut flakes until they are fully shredded. To do this you can use a nutribullet, magic bullet or food processor. Once the coconut is all shredded down, add in the remaining ingredients! Peanut butter, coconut oil, maple syrup and Himalayan salt. After everything is combined and mixed well, pour the batter into a lined tray and store it in the freezer for about 20 minutes (till its firm). Once firm, cut into little square pieces using a hot knife and ENJOY! Know your limits and play within it though 😉 (2-4 pieces limit). Also make sure to keep them stored in the refrigerator.
Note: You can also use regular salt but the benefits of Himalayan pink salt are awesome so why not use it instead?! Just to list a few, this salt detoxifies the body and balances pH, improves your hydration which reduces muscle cramps, and also helps balance blood sugar levels! So basically using this salt in your baking/cooking is kind of a no brainer!
