Legs! My favourite yet personally hardest part of my body to grow. I always had very small legs but I have been training legs for a few years now and am very happy with the progress! These are my main tips for growing and toning up your legs that I’d like to share with you:

1. Consistency

You must must must be consistent in training your legs and never expect results in a very short period of time. Just like weight loss, building muscle in any area of your body will take time. Stay the course and stay dedicated, the results will speak for themselves in the end and you will be glad you stuck through!

2. Lift Heavy Enough

You must also be lifting enough weight in which it actually challenges your muscles. If your muscles are not being challenged, there will be no muscle gain. Getting that toned look for your legs comes from muscle. So when doing leg exercises, use a weight in which you can only complete the required reps. If you can do more reps then required easily, then increase the weight you are using.

3. Eat Enough

Along with the right workouts, you must also feed your body with the right foods. Eat your carbs and don’t be scared of getting “fat”! (of course get in your carbs from whole sources) Your body needs carbs in order for your muscles to grow. Without carbs its hard to get in much of any muscle growth. So eat to grow!

4. Change Up Your Workouts

You should also make note of times when your workouts are feeling a little too easy. You must always challenge your body and keep it guessing so changing up your workouts week to week and following new plans is a good idea!
